Why Do Girls Like BTS

I know most of you know who are they and what they do, but for people who don’t know BTS. It is a k-pop (Korean Pop) boy band. They spread their magic with their songs and style. The craze for BTS is increasing every day, especially in the millennium generation.

You can find their posters, CDs, designer cups, etc, in their fan’s rooms. You may not know but they hold numerous world records like Most Twitter engagements – Group (male), Most Twitter engagements overall, Most viewed music video online in 24 hours by a K-pop group, Most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours, Fastest to reach one million followers on TikTok, and many more.

BTS started back in 2013, not many people knew who they are and what they do. So how did they become so famous in such a short period of time? and why do girls love them so much? Well, we’ll find the answer in this post.

Why Do Girls Like BTS?

To find the answer, I dig deep, I reviewed their fan’s comments in their music videos, I joined their ARMY, I asked some questions online. Finally, I found ten reasons why girls love BTS so much!

1. They Are Cute

Girls just adore them. You can literally find thousands of posts, threads, comments, on the internet where girls are simping to BTS. Most fangirls think they are the cutest boys ever existed on this planet. It may sound funny to some people but according to them, it is certainly true.

Suga a member of the group, posted a tweet in 2016, in reply, a girl posted a video in which she was mast**bating to his picture. Later, the singer blocked her. Now, I guess you can imagine how crazy their fans are for them.

Some girls don’t even care how their music is sounding. They just care about how cute they are looking. You won’t find a single individual from the BTS army who says they aren’t cute.

2. Their Hairstyle

Hairs are important if you wanna look good, they give us confidence and if the hairstyle is suiting you, it attracts a girl’s attention as well.

BTS certainly knows the importance of hairs. All the members of this group have decent hairstyles, but Jungkook the lead vocalist of the group is especially famous for it.

He frequently changes his hair color, when he posts a picture with different hair color on social media, the BTS army doesn’t take even a second to make that picture viral.

During the research, I found some fangirls even make collages of Jangkook different hairstyles and stick them into their wall. So that they can show how crazy they are for BTS.

3. Their Smile

Fangirl – “When they smile, they look out of the world.”

Fangirl – “My heart pumps faster when I see them smiling.”

I mean everyone looks good when they smile, but for these fangirls, the BTS smile touches differently. It is not surprising that not only smile but these fangirls collect their sad crying pics as well.

If you think you’re brave, just say one single bad thing about BTS or about their simile on social media, you would literally feel like you’re fighting the army alone.

4. They Are Kind

BTS earns millions but they don’t like to show off too much. They believe in giving. In fact, They contribute to many organizations, fundraisers, and campaigns in secret as well as promoting their Campaign  “Love Yourself” – Proving that they are modest and not simply donating to look appealing to the public.

They also have problems, but they take them for their fans – It reveals that they are human too. They aren’t ideal and they also have weaknesses.

5. They Are Popular

According to Rollingstone, a new Twitter survey has disclosed that BTS was the number one most-tweeted-about musicians in the U.S. for the fourth year in a row. The group defeated Kanye West, Beyonce, and Drake for the highest mentions on social media in 2020.

Not only that, No band can be successful without its fans and BTS has some of the most faithful, dedicated fans that the world has EVER witnessed with 23.6 million followers on Twitter and 30 million on Instagram.

Another report states BTS might be the most famous boy group the world has ever seen.

With record-setting views for their YouTube videos and album purchases along with their money-making star power — the group earned $130 million in 2019 sales from merchandising only, according to The Hollywood Reporter — the seven-member K-pop band has become a worldwide sensation.

How BTS Became So Popular?

They weren’t popular right from the beginning as some other K-pop idol groups. They first appeared in 2013 with their debut song No More Dream, which got some popularity, especially for Jimin’s abs. But then, when they had a comeback with the song N.O, they failed to bring any more attention, and they themselves refer to that comeback as a ‘disappointment’.

Then, Boy in Luv (2014) was quite a hit and that’s when they first got some limelight and grew to the level where other idol fans also know their name (but to an extent). Their next song, Danger (also 2014), turned out to be much poorer than they anticipated.

But then they got a sudden height in popularity in 2015 with I NEED U and Dope, and they gained their first win in a music concert(in Korea).

Their popularity yet again raised with RUN (2015) and they became actually famous with the comeback Fire (2016) and evolved as one of the most famous idols in Korea. BS&T was another significant hit and got them some Billboard spotlight.

In terms of ‘when they got famous’- they became well-known in Korea with I NEED U and Dope (in 2015) and they became famous internationally during the BS&T years.

Is BTS Overrated?

While BTS is everywhere these days, it’s comfortable to think that they are just an overrated group, specifically when they are constantly being compared to some other boy bands like One Direction or the Backstreet Boys.

Nevertheless, BTS undoubtedly holds its own story, music, and image. There is also sufficient proof to show that the publicity around them is very much justified.

The point that the seven members of BTS started out at the bottom and became famous on their own values shows that they are certainly a talented bunch.

Back when BTS was still fairly unknown and there was not much sense to pay attention to them, fans decided to give BTS a chance anyway, which indicates that there was something about them that was distinct from most other boy bands out there.

Over the years, BTS also proved themselves as artists with longevity. Rather than being a one-hit-wonder group, they worked hard to continue enhancing their brand while maintaining all the things that made them famous in the first place.

This has directed them to have a resume full of chart-topping singles and record-breaking albums. Undoubtedly, their fans have not gotten weary of them and non-fans are always being turned into ARMYs in every nation.

At this rate, it appears that BTS will continue to grow to the top and they will not go away anytime soon.

I hope this post was helpful to you. Thanks for reading!
